May was full of fun and good times for all of us. The boys were off track for 3 weeks (May into June) and I had a fabulous Mother's Day and we celebrated Greg's birthday.
I managed to take pictures of most of our activities.
So here you go!
So I enjoy baking. Usually I am pretty good at it - if I do say so myself. But I still have some epic fails, as well as some that taste ok, but aren't fantastic. Thus- the oatmeal cookies. Yes, that is a spoon that the boys had to use to scoop up the cookies to eat. But eat them they did. They tasted ok, but didn't set up. Oh well.
The next semi-fail was a cherry pie I made for Greg for being a wonderful man!
Once again - tasted good (if you like cherry pie) just didn't turn out how I would have liked it too. But once again, it was eaten all gone.
Noah had a kindergarten talent show and decided he wanted to show off some lacrosse moves. He was a little nervous, but did great!! Greg was able to take some time off and come help him.
We have spent the last few months getting our basement finished. YEAH!! I can't wait till it's done. SO CLOSE!! Just need carpet. But here is how it looked in May.
Lacrosse took up a major part of our May (and June). Nathan had practice 2 hours a night and on the nights Noah and Nicholas didn't have practice, they came with me and got their reading done. Noah got bored one night and got a hold of my phone and took about 30 pictures. I deleted most, but here are a few.
Greg has been spending a lot of time in North Carolina on business trips. He calls every night on Skype so
we can "see" him. He tells us about his day and usually where he has gone out to dinner. The boys and I decided that we needed to go out on a business dinner as well. They smashed the little ring of paper that holds your silver ware and napkin together on their heads and thought it was hilarious. Well, it WAS kind of funny.....
As you can tell, it was a very serious business dinner.
Nicholas has his "Moms and Muffins" morning at school in honor of Mother's day. He made me a card and a picture, recited poetry and served muffins. Noah came along to help.
Nathan has had several plantars warts since starting lacrosse. He has had them treated 3 times. They put some medicine on and it bubbles up into a HUGE blister (like the size of his entire toe!). He was a trooper though and didn't want to miss lacrosse practice, so we wrapped up his toe that ended up being his entire foot. (so he had enough padding to protect his blisters)
These are just a few of our adventures. I managed to erase the next several pictures and editorials I just spent the last 15 minutes doing (grrrrrrr!). So I will quit while I am ahead, or at least before I end up inadvertently deleting more.
It's late and time for bed.
Good night all!
