The Project!!!

Well, the biography report is done.  Yeah!  Nathan did a great job on his "wax museum" and oral report.  The costume didn't turn out too bad either.
General Nathanael Greene
He got nervous and stood for an hour with his legs locked and almost passed out.  After a little while in the nurses office, he was fine and enjoyed the rest of the day.  His teacher invited all of the classes in the school to come and see everyones projects and to ask them questions.  So the room was set up with everyones posters and they were all in costume and presented their reports.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!  Here are a few more of Gregs valentines for the week.  We had to sneak a few into his car while he was at work, but we managed to surprise him.
Yesterday Noah and I made cupcakes and a heart shaped cake.  Today I put chocolate lips (kisses) on everyones pillows, and tonight I will put I Love you "peeps" on their pillows as well.
I had high hopes of having a fun weekend with the family, but everyone has managed to get sick. So yesterday was another pajama day watching the Olympics while I got my hair done -thanks Andrea!!!! Today we stayed home from church and read and lounged around and tried to get as much rest as we could. But it looks like Nathan is coming down with a sinus infection, Nick and Noah with croup, and me with a sore throat and Greg with a cold.  Hopefully it won't turn into pnemonia again. So for our day off tomorrow we will be spending it at the doctors office.  The only thing my kids share willingly is their germs.
I think tonight we will take a drive downtown to see the Olympic cauldron, just to get out of the house.
At least we have had quality family time.
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Crazy week........ is there any other kind??

Well, my great intentions of cute valentine's for Greg have been thwarted by 2 sick kids and a MASSIVE biography project for Nathan.  He is doing a report on Nathanael Greene.  He has had to do a note taking project, a book report, a poster, and now I am making a costume for his oral presentation.  It really is a cool idea, just unbelievabely time consuming. Here is the "preliminary" costume.  I have today to complete it. It has been fun to see Nathan get excited over a project.  He has an amazing teacher.  Yeah Mrs. Smith!!!!  So we will see  how creative I can get.  It's not looking good today.  Nicholas felt good enough to go to school today, but still has a cough, so I am just waiting for the school to call me to come and get him.  Noah is still coughing and sneezing, so he is staying home again today. I am too tired to tell if I am actually feeling better or just too tired to care. Oh well.  It's jammie day at the Sill house today!  Yeah!!!

So as Greg was getting ready to do car pool today (I know!  He is WONDERFUL! He does it everyday!!!) I was trying to sneak his valentine into the front seat of the car before he left, but my stealth skills are somewhat lacking at 7:45 in the morning, so he caught me, but he did like it.  YIPEEE!
It says "Every hour is "Happy Hour" with you".

So he is going to have Happy Hour during his 4:00 meeting today.
So I am two days behind, I will catch up.
Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Valentine's Week!!!

I LOVE Valentine's!! I konw it is a "commercialized holiday trying to guilt men into buying gifts for their wives..." but that is JUST FINE with me! I love leaving little gifts for my little guys AND for my big guy. Last year I did the 14 days of Valentine for Greg.  Starting February 1st I did something for him or gave him something pretty cheesy till Valentine's Day.  This year has been very busy, so it will be the 7 days of Valentine.  My personal favorite from last year were the heart shaped cinnamon rolls and the heart shaped ice cubes. I will post this years goodies when I get them ready.

"For my "SWEET Heart"

"You make my heart melt"

Sappy, I know.  But they were cute and made him smile (after he rolled his eyes of course)

So HAPPY VALENTINE'S week everyone!

Yet another week.......

Once again, it is the beginning of a new week.  Last week was once again, fun, hectic, and over.  Monday, I was able to go with Noah to his fieldtrip to the Living Planet Aquarium.  We had fun and he got a new little "seal" pet.  I had to laugh after when I asked him where he wanted to go to lunch for our "date" he informed me he was too young to date and I was married.  What a nut!!  Then I REALLY had to laugh when he decided he wanted to go to Joe's Crab Shack for lunch after spending the morning with the sea animals he thought they sounded good for lunch! So we had crab legs for lunch.  He cracks me up!!!
